Booking Terms & Conditions - Please read carefully.
- Learners are expected to attend all dates advertised.
- If your booking is completed by an individual other than the named learner, it is the responsibility of the person placing the booking to ensure the learner is suitable for the course and has the relevant experience.
- All learners agree to abide by the General Rules and Conditions for the use of the venue.
- All learners take part at their own risk.
- Please be advised that any personal belongings for example, mobile phones, laptops, and any other valuable items are the responsibility of the individual and are taken at the individual's risk. For the avoidance of any doubt, the Rugby Football League will not be responsible for any loss or damage to personal belongings or property howsoever caused.
- E-Certificates are issued by the relevant awarding organisation and can take six to eight weeks from the submission of the results.
- Additional fees will be incurred if you need a re-assessment.
- Course fees are payable upon booking by debit/credit card. Should you wish to be invoiced the Rugby Football League require a valid, authorised purchase order. All invoices must be paid in full within five working days. Failure to pay within five working days will result in place(s) not being confirmed.
- Rugby Football League cannot reserve places on courses.
Cancellation Policy.
- The Rugby Football League reserves the right to cancel or reschedule courses at their discretion, for example but not exclusive to insufficient learners enrolled, workforce illness. In such cases learners shall be offered a refund of the fees paid or a transfer to an alternative course. In such cases The Rugby Football League liability shall be restricted to reimbursement of any fees paid to them alone and will not cover additional fees indirectly associated with the course. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the learner to ensure that any travel or accommodation bookings are cancellable, and the Rugby Football League will have no responsibility or liability in this respect.
- In the event of a cancellation, the individual must follow up with written confirmation to the Rugby Football League (coursebookings@rfl.co.uk) with their intentions of either cancelling or transferring to another course. Individuals should give personal details and full details of which course they booked onto to administer this.
- If you cancel 31 days or more prior to the start of the course, you can either:
- receive a refund less a £35 administration fee or
- be transferred onto another course (subject to availability) after a £35 transfer fee has been paid.
- If you cancel between 11 and 30 days prior to the start of the course, you can either:
- receive a refund less a £50 administration fee or
- be transferred onto another course (subject to availability) after a £50 transfer fee has been paid.
- In the event of illness / injury (for which a doctor’s note must be provided) or exceptional circumstances which will be at the absolute discretion of the RFL, the RFL will consider either:
- Waiver the transfer fee or
- a reduction in the administration costs.
- If you cancel up to 10 working days prior to the start of the course, no refund or transfer will be offered except in the event of illness / injury (for which a doctor’s note must be provided) or exceptional circumstances which will be at the absolute discretion of the RFL.
- If you do not attend the course and no communication has been received, no refund or transfer will be offered except in the event of illness / injury (for which a doctor’s note must be provided) or due to exceptional circumstances which will be at the absolute discretion of the RFL.
- Learners must confirm the course they wish to transfer to within 90 days of submitting a transfer request.
- Before Day Two - £50 transfer fee. Please note: Day One will need repeating on the new course.
- Before Day Three - £60 transfer fee.
- Before Day Four - £70 transfer fee.
- Learners are only permitted to one course transfer per booking. After this the full fee will be charged.
- In the event of bookings being made under an incorrect learner account, a refund will be issued so that the correct learner can rebook onto the course. Administration fees as outlined above will be incurred. The RFL does not accept transfers from learner to learner or the holding of spaces whilst refunds are processed.
- If a club pays for a learner to attend a course, the place on the course is the property of the learner and not the club. Transfers to other club members are not permitted.
- If an individual does not wish to transfer, this is deemed a cancellation.
- No refunds of fees will be permitted once the learner has started the course for any reason.
- Once the learner has started the course, transfers will only be considered in the event of illness / injury (for which a doctor’s note must be provided) or exceptional circumstances which will be at the absolute discretion of the RFL. The Rugby Football League reserves the right to refuse a transfer request to which the learner will have to book and pay for another course. In the event the transfer request after the course has started is accepted, the following administration fees will be charged:
Fees Include:
- Certificates (as applicable) upon completion.
- One assessment where indicated.
- Study/resource materials.
Does not include:
- Travel or accommodation expenses.
- Replacement certificates or study/resource materials. There will be a charge associated to any replacement materials if requested by the learner.
- Re-assessment fees.
- Stationery and materials.
The Rugby Football League Coaching Course Registration Period:
Each coaching course has a specified registration period, and the learner must complete all aspects of the learning programme and assessment within that registration period. For Level 1 courses the registration period is 12 months, for Level 2 courses the registration period is 24 months and for Level 3 courses the registration period is 36 months. No extension periods will be granted for a coaching course without the learner providing the Rugy Football League with an extenuating circumstances form. Only one extension period in relation to a coaching course may be granted per learner.
If the learner fails to complete all aspects of the course within the registration period and can prove extenuating circumstances an extension may be granted (at the discretion of the Rugby Football League or the Awarding Body, where applicable). A re-registration fee will, however, be charged. It is the responsibility of the learner to contact the Rugby Football League (coursebookings@rfl.co.uk) as soon as possible and complete the extenuating circumstances form with supporting evidence. Where the learner does not apply for an extension or re-register within six months beyond their registration period, they will be required to repeat the course.
