The kick-off of the Betfred Wheelchair Challenge Cup Final between Catalans Dragons and Wigan Warriors on Saturday week, June 1, has been brought forward by one hour, to 1:30pm – because of a double booking for the Warriors.
Wigan have a Betfred Super League Round 13 fixture at Warrington Wolves on June 1, kicking off at 3pm – a dress rehearsal for the Betfred Challenge Cup Final at Wembley Stadium seven days later.
And the Warriors Wheelchair team, who won the Betfred Wheelchair Super League for the first time last season, have now reached their Challenge Cup Final for the first time after a hard-earned 34-20 win against Leeds Rhinos last weekend.
RL Commercial is grateful to BBC Sport, who will again be covering all three Betfred Challenge Cup Finals over consecutive Saturdays – Men, Women’s and Wheelchair – for agreeing to an earlier kick-off at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield, allowing more Wigan Warriors and Rugby League fans to watch more of both matches.
The 2024 Betfred Wheelchair Challenge Cup Final will take place at the English Institute of Sport, Sheffield, on Saturday 1 June (KO 1.30pm) and will also be shown live on BBC Sport. Tickets, priced just £11, are on sale online now.
