Caitlin Beevers is one of the most promising young players in England and at just 21 has already won two Betfred Women’s Super League titles with Leeds Rhinos as well as a League Leaders’ Shield and the Challenge Cup.

Beevers made her debut for England back in 2018, in a game which featured a host of new young names coming into the international set-up. Since she has been part of the Papua New Guinea touring side and made try-scoring appearances against Wales and France.

Away from the field, Beevers is also a Match Official having officiated the Year 7 Boys Champions Schools Final at Wembley Stadium back in 2018. She was also a nominee for the BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year in 2019.

Loose forward Jodie Cunningham has cemented herself as key pillar in the England Women side having racked up 24 caps since her debut back in 2009 against France.

Cunningham’s versatility has seen her play several positions featuring for her country as a full-back, winger, centre, half-back and, in the last two seasons, as a loose forward. The 30-year-old is regarded as one of the most consistent players in the Betfred Women’s Super League which was rewarded with a Woman of Steel title following St Helens’ treble-winning season of 2021

Away from the field, Cunningham is looking to develop pathways for females wanting to play Rugby League as the RFL’s National Women and Girls Development Manager.

Zoe Harris’ form for St Helens saw her earn her first international cap earlier this year in the 6-32 defeat of Wales.

Harris has been an integral part of the St Helens side for a number of seasons and featured heavily in their treble-winning season of 2021. Harris will head into the Rugby League World Cup as one of a trio of players to have only represented their country once beforehand.

Shona Hoyle has become one of the first names on the teamsheet when it comes to England Women over the past five years. 

Debuting in the 2017 against France, Hoyle went on to represent England at the Rugby League World Cup in Australia and is now just one of handful of the current squad with caps in the double figures – 12.

Hoyle has played for a number of clubs in the Betfred Women’s Super League including Bradford Bulls, Castleford Tigers, Huddersfield Giants but is now a regular for St Helens.

Tara Stanley is one of the more experienced members of the England Women squad and is heading into her third Rugby League World Cup after featuring in both 2013 and 2017.

Stanley was played several roles on the international stage debuting at full-back in 2012 before a move into the centres and a return to the number one spot in 2018 against France.

Stanley was part of the Castleford Tigers side which won the League Leaders’ Shield in 2019 before joining York City Knights in 2021. She would lift the League Leaders’ Shield again in 2022 with the Knights and her performances saw her crowned Woman of Steel.

Vicky Whitfield is another powerful forward in the England Women squad who has proven a destructive force for St Helens in recent seasons.

Whitfield was a key part of their 2021 treble-winning outfit and also featured in the 2022 Betfred Women’s Challenge Cup Final at Leeds United’s Elland Road.

She debuted for England in 2018 against France and has since featured from the interchange bench in 2021 and 2022 victories over the French.

Born in Nottingham to an English mother and Canadian father, Seb lives in Perpignan and plays for Catalan Dragons. Back in 2012, he lost one of his legs in a motorcycle accident and started playing Wheelchair RL with the Dragons, who have dominated the French Championship for years.  The Dragons reached the final of the Betfred Challenge Cup, losing to Leeds Rhinos. He was selected for England in 2015, winning the European championships and getting to the 2017 World Cup final. Seb has won the French championship 8 times and the French cup 6 times – he’s also a professional Trumpet player!

Jack is the first and current holder of the Wheelchair Rugby League Golden Boot, awarded to the best International player in the World.  He has been playing Wheelchair Rugby League since it was established in the UK back in 2005, and started with Halifax.  He’s captained England many times, and holds the highest number of caps. Jack has played in 3 World Cups and a European Championship, wining the inaugural Championships in both – he moved to Australia in 2020, and is now the coach of Queensland Wheelchair RL.

Joe has the highest number of England caps and made his debut in the 2013 Rugby League World Cup in Medway, Kent.  He plays for the London Roosters, having started with Medway Dragons when he was 12.  He’s the younger brother of England Wheelchair RL Head Coach, Tom.  Coyd also plays running game Rugby League too, and won the London & The South Premiership with Medway Dragons in 2021.

Rob plays for Halifax Panthers in the Betfred Wheelchair RL Super League and has proven to be a prolific scorer, scoring key tries in key moments as Halifax were crowned champions in 2022. Hawkins was a newcomer to the England National Performance squad in 2021, making his debut against Wales in June 2020 on the wing. He started playing aged just 10, and won Young Player of the Year in 2019.

Born and raised in Dartford, Lewis started playing at Argonauts and now plays for London Roosters in the Betfred Wheelchair Super League.  King began playing Wheelchair RL after suffering a spinal injury – he made a try scoring debut against France in in 2019, was Player of the Tour on the Ashes Tour to Australia in 2019 and was crowned Betfred Wheelchair Super League Player of the Year in 2019.
