Warrington Wolves hooker Lewis Barratt has been brought into the England Academy squad to prepare for the match against France at the Halliwell Jones Stadium next week (Tuesday 2 July), following the withdrawal of Wakefield Trinity’s Harvey Smith.
Former East Leeds junior Barrett scored two tries in Wolves Academy’s 28-16 at Hull FC last weekend, and links up with Wolves’ teammates Arron Lindop, Tom McKinney and Cai Taylor-Wray.
England Academy versus France takes place at the Halliwell Jones Stadium, Warrington, on Tuesday 2 July, 7.30pm. Admission is £5 (£2 concessions). The match will also be streamed live on the RFL’s YouTube channel from 7.15pm.
The match will be refereed by Cameron Worsley, alongside touch judges Matty Lynn and Alex Cameron, with Denton Arnold named reserve referee.
