Masters National Festival in Blackpool fills up in record time

Masters National Festival in Blackpool fills up in record time

The Masters Rugby League National Festival will once again head to Blackpool in September and the event has filled its spaces in record time.

Over 42 teams – including six women’s teams – have booked their place on Saturday 7 September to take part in the biggest Masters Festival of the year.

Blackpool, Farnley Falcons, Golborne Parkside and Leyland Warriors all have multiple entries across both men’s and women’s which highlights the growth of the social variant.

The event is one of the highlights of the season for any Masters player, and Blackpool Masters have taken on the role of event organisers as it heads to Stanley Park once again.

The occasion should see over 600 players take part in a full day of Masters action that gets underway from 1pm and the on-field festivities will be followed by an evening at the Blackpool Cricket Club, where there’ll be plenty of socialising and a host of awards to give out!

Paul Ogden – Masters National Festival Organiser said:

“We are very much looking forward to hosting the largest Masters National Festival to date, with an increase of both Men’s and Women’s teams this sure to be one of Masters Rugby League’s proudest achievements.”
