Over 275 players gathered at Crosfields ARLFC last Saturday (10 August) for the Lancashire Masters Rugby League Festival.
21 clubs from across the UK made the journey to take part in the action which included players aged from 25 all the way up to 76.
Masters of the Day Award Winners:
- Team of the day: Belfast Bald Eagles
- Player of the day: Ernie Lang (Medway Dragons)
- Referee of the day: Mark Jones
- Masters Moment: Luke Naylor
Lancashire Representative, Tony Prescott, said:
“Saturday was a well organised event, by a great team of people at Crosfields including Dave Reid and Kev Redmond. We have to give a special mention to Belfast, Hull, Arlecdon, Barrow and Doncaster Toll Bar for making the journey to the event.”
Event organiser, Dave Reid, added:
“It was clear to see the quality of Masters Rugby League on show and everyone seemed to really enjoy the day. Once again thanks to the players, referees, first aiders and Crosfields club staff for keeping us all fed and watered. A special mention to Kev Redmond who sorted all the food and fixtures for the day!”
