Liam Rush has been appointed to referee Sunday’s Betfred Women’s Super League Grand Final – with Rhiannon Horsman and Rebecca Floyd also on duty at the Totally Wicked Stadium to represent the development of women officials which is starting to pick up pace.
Horsman has been appointed a reserve touch judge for the Grand Final between St Helens and York Valkyrie, while Floyd is a touch judge for the Play-Off Final that precedes it between Featherstone Rovers and Leigh Leopards, with the winners earning the eighth and last place in the BWSL next season.
It will be Rush’s second consecutive BWSL Grand Final, after the 24-year-old took charge of last year’s title decider between Valkyrie and Leeds Rhinos at the LNER Community Stadium.
Ben Thaler will be the video referee, with the game being shown live on Sky Sports, with Neil Horton and Simeon Quarmby the touch judges.
Luke Bland will referee the Featherstone-Leigh match, with Liam Breheny appointed as a touch judge alongside Floyd.
