England PDRL Community Lions take on Wales in their second international Test of 2024

England PDRL Community Lions take on Wales in their second international Test of 2024

This Saturday ahead of the men’s Betfred Super League Grand Final, the Physical Disability Rugby League (PDRL) England Community Lions will face Wales in their second Test match of the year; with the players and officials from both sides then attending the Super League Grand Final afterwards.

The fixture is set for a thrilling 1:30pm kick-off at Salford City Roosters, Hallsworth Road, Manchester (M30 7LS).

Following a dominant 40-6 victory in South Wales earlier this year, England will be aiming to maintain their winning streak. However, Wales, determined to turn the tables, will be eager to claim their first win against their home nation's rivals.

Admission is free, so join us for what promises to be a fierce, exciting match and an action-packed day of Rugby League if you can!

Michelle Melling, England PDRL Head Coach, said, “As a group we are really looking forward to the return fixture between ourselves and Wales to put our training into a game situation and build on the platform we already had from the last game against them.

"We have been working closely with our Sport psychologist Casper as well as our medical team Jess, Ellie and Becky to ensure the players are in the best possible position to perform on Saturday both mentally and physically. Matt Drinkwater (assistant coach) has been putting the attacking play book into action on the field during training and I am really looking forward to seeing this unfold.

"Saturday will be a great day for the sport and should be a spectacular game so if you are free before the Grand Final please come down and support the team at Salford.”
