It’s Safer Gambling Week (18-24 November) – and the RFL is lending its support.
Safer Gambling Week is about helping people to be more open and honest about their gambling, and offering support to those who are concerned about their own habits. Throughout the week the RFL will use its social media platforms to encourage Rugby League fans to occasionally ‘take a break from gambling’ as a means of keeping control.
A range of gambling self-help tools is available via the safergambling website. Among the recommendations is taking a break from betting for a period of time – from as little as 24 hours up to six weeks.
Anybody who believes they have a problem with gambling is urged to call the National Gambling Helpline FREE on 0808 8020 133.
