The draw for the quarter-finals of the Men’s Betfred Challenge Cup was made tonight on BBC Sport and BBC Radio 5Live by former Challenge Cup winners Adrian Morley and Jon Wilkin – and four sensational spectacles await.
Hull FC and Hull KR are set for a blockbuster Quarter-Final tie, as they meet in the competition for the first time since 1986. This means that there will be two highly anticipated Hull Derbies in quick succession, with the Betfred Super League’s Rivals Round taking place just two weeks later.
Wilkin’s former side – and 13-time winners St Helens, will travel to face Morley’s former side Warrington Wolves – who were the beaten finalists in 2024. It's also a repeat of their quarter-final last year, although both teams will get to have a taste of each other much sooner when they meet in Round 5 of Super League on Friday night.
Wakefield Trinity are handed a home tie and will welcome 2023 winners Leigh Leopards, as a rising Trinity look to reiterate that of Adrian Lam's Leopards – back-to-back finals; from AB Sundecks 1895 Cup holders to, impressively and historically, Challenge Cup holders in just over 12 months.
Finally, Salford Red Devils must travel to the south of France to face Catalans Dragons, as the French side are rewarded with home advantage once more.
Ties will be played on the weekend of 3-6 April and broadcast details will be announced as soon as possible.
