Betfred League One continues this weekend and here is what to expect in Round 5…
Can Midlands maintain their place at the top of the table? The Hurricanes are unbeaten on home soil in the 2025 competition, but have a tough test on their hands when they welcome Dewsbury to the Alexander Stadium – a side who will be boosted by their performance against Keighley in Round 4.
Then, there’s a huge clash when Rochdale host Workington – two teams who will be determined to get back to winning ways.
Last time out in Rochdale, the Hornets blitzed Town 56-12, although the reverse fixture came to be a much closer contest, with the Cumbrian outfit pipping a 14-12 win.
Keighley Cougars are still looking to kickstart their campaign and are back on home soil to host Swinton. Their new head coach Alan Kilshaw will take charge at the weekend, who happens to be the Lions’ former boss.
Kilshaw comes in hoping to get the Cougars back on track as they find themselves without a win in their first four matches. He has a decent record coaching in the third tier, having guided Rochdale to promotion in 2016 and helped Hunslet to a second-place finish in 2023 – their best in over a decade, as well as an unbeaten home run.
Finally, will Whitehaven make it three wins on the spin? Haven are high flying and will be aiming to keep up their fine form when Newcastle Thunder make the trip to the Recreation Ground.
Thunder are seeking their first ever victory there, with Whitehaven having won 15 and drawn one of their previous 16 home meetings with them.
North Wales Crusaders now have a bye week alongside Goole Vikings, due to Cornwall's recent announcement to withdraw from the 2025 competition.
