The London Primary and Junior League Finals Day will take place on Saturday 19th July at Streatham & Croydon Rugby Club. The day promises an exciting celebration of Rugby League in the Southern region, with primary activity kicking off the morning and a thrilling Junior League triple-header to follow.

The 2025 Junior League season began back in March, featuring Rugby League Nines events for each age group and competitive league fixtures across all divisions; with every age group tightly contested until the final round, four teams from each progressed to the playoffs, showcasing the strength and depth across the region.

This season has seen over 100 new registered participants in the Southern region compared to 2024, a significant milestone that reflects the growing appetite for Rugby League in London and the South East. New clubs joined the structured league and development framework, further boosting opportunities for players of all levels.

Additionally, the 2025 season incorporated 18 England Community Lions Development Sessions across the Under 12s, 14s, and 16s age groups, helping to develop talent and foster participation. The Origin Programme will also follow the Finals Day, continuing the pathway for aspiring young players.

Junior League Finals Schedule:

Under 12s, KO 11.00: Elmbridge Eagles vs Brixton Bulls

Under 14s, KO 12.15: St Albans Centurions vs Elmbridge Eagles

Under 16s, KO 13.30: Hemel Stags vs Elmbridge Eagles

Philippa Robson, Chair of the London Junior League, said: “2025 has been a fantastic season for London and the South East, with player numbers rising across all age groups, from primary through to junior. As clubs continue to build from the ground up, the future of Rugby League in our region looks incredibly bright.

"Standards are rising, creating a positive and inclusive game-day environment that keeps players, parents, and supporters engaged. It was brilliant to see a wide range of clubs represented in the semi-finals, and I’m really looking forward to seeing some quality Rugby League on Finals Day.

"A massive thank you to all the players, coaches, volunteers, and parents who continue to drive our sport forward in the South.”
