Southern Conference League side North Herts Crusaders, based in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, have been stepping up to help those in need over the past couple of weeks.
The club have delivered 15 loaves of bread, 30kg of meat, 34 punnets of fruit and veg, 33 pints of milk as of March 30th, as well as countless dog walks, daily errands and phonecalls to help those who are self-isolating amidst the UK's battle with Covid-19.
Club stalwart Adam Naylor said: "We'd like to take this opportunity firstly to thank some of our Crusaders who have been helping some vulnerable people out in the community during the COVID-19 crisis.
"Our guys have selflessly delivered shopping and run errands for those who have been unable to, and it has been warmly welcomed by those we have helped.
"We have taken the utmost precautions at all times and will continue to follow the government advice.
"A massive thank you to Oli Turner who has been heading this up, along with all his trusty helpers; Josh Dell, Will Clifford, Ben Doughty, Oscar Robinson, Glynn Hughe, Josh Dell, Liam McKenna, Carlos Jurado, Will Evans, Will Sale, Jared Scott and George Eaton.
"We have received a number of calls in the last few days and we are pleased to say we have been able to help them all."
