The Southern Conference League will return on Saturday 12 April as an eight-team competition with reigning champions Hammersmith Hills Hoists set to face London Chargers in the opening round of fixtures (KO 2.30pm).
Hammersmith overcame Wests Warriors 12-6 in a tightly contested Grand Final back in September with the Warriors set to host 2024 SCL Plate winners Eastern Rhinos in the first round of the 2025 campaign (KO 2.30pm).
2025 will also see the return of the Harry Jepson Trophy, which was founded in 1997 in tribute to the legendary Rugby League enthusiast and administrator for the community clubs who emerged nationwide following the introduction of the Super League played through the summer months.
Teams from the Midlands and the South of England are all in contention, with the champions of the Regional Premier Divisions progressing to the Final.
The 2025 SCL season will consist of a 14-round season running from April to August, with each of the eight teams playing the other seven home and away, with the top four qualifying for the Play-Offs.
The SCL champions will be determined at a Grand Final which will take place on Saturday 6 September – when the Final of the Harry Jepson Trophy will also be played.
There will also be a strong southern presence in the opening rounds of the Betfred Challenge Cup with London Chargers, Wests Warriors, Hammersmith Hills Hoists and Eastern Rhinos all in action on the weekend of January 12/11.
A full set of fixtures for the league season can be found on the Rugby League Match Centre.
