RFL partner, Try Tag Rugby, will host the UK Tag Nationals at Warwick University this Saturday (11 May).
Held for the first time in 2018, the UK Tag Nationals brings together teams from each of the different Try Tag Rugby regions around the UK to battle it out to see which region will be crowned National Champions.
Saturday’s event will see 59 teams from 14 Try Tag Rugby regions competing across mixed, men’s and women’s categories. This year will see the addition of a Women’s 33s category for the first time, returning the tournament to having parity between the number of female and male competitions.
This is the second time the national championships will be contested outside London and the first time that they will be hosted in the Midlands. Brighton & Hove will be entering teams for the first time and there will also be an invitational team from Cork in each of the three Open categories.
Spectators are welcome to attend the free event to cheer any friends and family on throughout the day and you can also catch all of the action from on the Try Tag Rugby Facebook and YouTube channel.
