Hunslet will travel to face Keighley Cougars in the Betfred League One Play-Off Final next week next Sunday (6 October), following a resounding 46-26 victory over Rochdale Hornets in the Preliminary Final.
The two sides were locked 18-18 at half-time, but the West Yorkshire side delivered a season’s best forty minutes to edge themselves another step nearer to the Betfred Championship in 2025.
Jack Render starred for Hunslet with two superb tries after the break to put the game out of the Hornets' reach, with further scores from Jude Ferreria, Ethan Wood and Ethan O'Hanlon to record a convincing win.
Following the conclusion of the regular Betfred Championship season, it is now confirmed that next week's winner (Keighley or Hunslet) will play 12th-placed Swinton Lions in the Championship Promotion Play-Off Final.
The winner of this match will then earn a place in the second tier for 2025, while the loser will join League One.
