The season is well under way and this weekend will see the return of the Midlands Women’s Championship.
Formed in 2023, the Midlands Championship sits in tier two of the national pyramid and involves clubs facing one another in a festival format with events beginning this Saturday (1 June) at Leamington Royals with the season ending on Sunday 4 August at Nottingham Outlaws.
Coventry Bears and Telford Raiders will join Leamington and Nottingham with each club hosting a festival as the season progresses.
Saturday will also mark the return of the Southern (East) League One which kicks off at Brentwood Eels and concludes on Saturday 13 July at Thurrock – the Southern (West) and Midlands League One will begin in June.
The girls’ game will also have plenty of action in the coming weeks with the Under 14s and U16s Regional Cup Finals taking place next Wednesday (5 June) – Dewsbury Moor will host the Yorkshire Finals with Thatto Heath Crusaders the venue for the North West.
The winners of each final will then qualify for the War of the Roses Final which will take place at Odsal Stadium on Saturday 13 July.
A full list of fixtures for the Midlands Women’s Championship and regional League One competitions can be found here. Any club looking to get involved in any of these leagues should please contact the host clubs.
