The BUCS National League kicks off this Wednesday (9 October) with six Universities set to compete in the competition.
Institutions from across the country will fight for the right to be crowned champions with the opening round of fixtures seeing Exeter hosting Loughborough (KO 1pm), Northumbria travelling to Leeds Beckett (KO 3pm) and Newcastle facing Leeds (KO 5pm).
Teams will play each other home and away in league fixtures between October 9 and February 5, leading into the Championship Cup run that will see the winner crowned on March 19 at BUCS Big Wednesday.
BUCS Rugby League Co-ordinator, Maz Veater, said:
"The introduction of a National League competition is an exciting step for University Rugby League and shows the progress that the game has made in the Higher Education space over the last few years.
Institutions have really bought into this new level of competition, with several of our Tier 1 teams already showing interest in pushing for the play-offs this season for a chance to be involved in the National League in the 2025/26 season. I'm excited to see how all six teams get on this year!"
Results from each round throughout the season will be available on Instagram via @UniversityRL.
