Clean energy company egg will be backing both England teams in this weekend’s double header at Headingley, as part of a new partnership with Rugby League Commercial.

George Williams and his England Men’s team sported the egg logo on the shoulder of their jerseys for the first time during last Sunday’s six-try victory over Samoa in Wigan – and this Saturday in Leeds, they will be joined by Jodie Cunningham’s England Women for their international against Wales.

In addition to the jersey placement, egg will further amplify its presence through LED perimeter branding, as well as interview backdrop positioning during post-match interviews and press events.

Mike Hallam, CEO, egg: ‘‘Sport provides a unique and powerful opportunity to connect with people on an emotional level, and we believe this partnership will help drive egg's purpose of pioneering clean energy solutions to everyone, everywhere. We're proud to be supporting England during the Autumn International Series and look forward to the exciting journey ahead.”

Rhodri Jones, Managing Director of Rugby League Commercial: “We are delighted to welcome egg as a new commercial partner for our England teams. Rugby League is committed to environmental sustainability, so egg’s clean energy, and their wide range of products, is a perfect fit for the sport.”

Headquartered in Leeds, egg Energy was launched 2022 and is a leading clean energy solutions provider, specialising in solar panel, storage and electric vehicle chargers

This is the second sports partnership for egg this year. Last month, egg joined forces with Northampton Town FC to supply the club with solar panels and electric vehicle charging points. This marked the first football club supplier for egg, who have plans to roll out similar partnerships to multiple football clubs across the UK over the next 12 months.  Based on Northampton Town FC’s usage, property and business requirements, the project saw 32 solar panels fitted, with the switch to solar predicted to save the club nearly £7,000 in the first year.  Energy counts for up to 35% of club budgets, so by adopting egg's solar solutions, clubs can save thousands on their energy bills every year.
